Photographs by Tom Drury
When I first looked at this, I wasn’t sure what I was seeing — then I got it. You’ve opened up the exposure to bring in the available light from the dark bar interior, and in so doing dramatically overexposed everything else — it’s a great effect! It’s as if you pulled that dark interior out into the open and made it the norm — so that now the viewer is forced to look at everything from that (overexposed) point of view. Great! If I had to come up with a title for this one, I’d call it: There is more light in the world than you can stand.
I think that’s a perfect title. And exactly how you would feel walking that red carpet from interior to exterior.
