I agree with what ki.p said about so many shades of blue. The lighting is brilliant. I looked at your other shots of Ice Dancer, and can’t help but feel that this photo is the one Ice Dancer herself would choose. Kind of restores her to her former glory …
About that hat — check out pictures from the early 60s — like Jackie Kennedy, stewardesses, maybe even Barbie — women sometimes wore large, fairly stiff felt berets that looked a lot like oversize pillbox hats. That fashion may have been the inspiration here.
Finally, tempting as it might seem, I probably wouldn’t hang the Ice Dancer picture next to your Mission Rd/Amazing Auto Glass Man photo. She’s all legs & charm, while he’s all hairy & scary, like one of those Brawny toweling guys. They might cancel each other out. It would be like putting matter too close to anti-matter.
